A contract shall be signed by parent/guardian, student, and teacher that explains the reason for use and rules, restrictions and monitoring techniques pertaining to social media use in the classroom.
Students privileges are revoked immediately after misuse
Training for employees about social media shall be required and teachers will teach their students about social media and guidelines to follow
Classeswill be able to use twitter and facebook, but all user names and passwords shall be maintained on file.
All site activity shall be recorded
Software that is used for the social media is a closed system
The administration shall be informed when a lesson using social media is going to be used
Parents shall be informed and receive notice of the program being used before beginning use of social media in the classroom.
Teachers shall not join students as friends on any social media channel.
Students shall respect copyright laws
School administration must have the password from the teacher to monitor the things that are being said
Social media shall be banned if a students breaks a rule set by the classroom teacher or administration.
